iOS 7 ipsw File Download

Download iOS 7 Final IPSW For iPhone 5, 4s, 4, iPad And iPod touch [Direct Links]

Apple has finally flipped the switch and final iOS 7 download links for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch are now live for everyone. More details as well the direct IPSW links can be found right here.
The visual and usability changes to iOS 7 represent the biggest overhaul to the OS in the last six years. Apple has described iOS 7 as "the mobile OS from a whole new perspective", and in all honesty, it is extremely difficult to argue with that description of what they have brought to the table. The firmware carries an all-new design, multiple new features and a plethora of new tools and frameworks for developers to dig into to create their apps. iOS is the foundation of the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch and it’s available to download now for users everywhere around the globe.

Apple’s iOS 6 has undoubtedly served us well over the last 12 months. After a relatively rocky start amid the Maps controversy, it has managed to claw its way into our affections thanks to a number of bug fixing updates and has managed to prove extremely stable ever since. Still, everything has a shelf life, and when Scott Forstall parted from Apple, it signaled the end of his reign over the design and implementation of iOS. Jony Ive’s vision of iOS is definitely polarizing, but it represents a new beginning for Apple’s mobile OS.

The firmware update will be available to all users with a compatible iOS device. iPhone owners using an iPhone 4, 4s or 5 will be able to grab hold of the new firmware for their devices, although some restrictions do apply to the iPhone 4 and 4s in terms of features. Owners of the second-generation iPad and above can also go through an OTA or iTunes download route with the same restrictions on older, less powerful tablets. The only iPod touch that is currently supported is the fifth-generation model.

Jailbreak iOS 6.1.2 Unthethered

Untethered Jailbreak 6.1.2
The users who are willing to jailbreak their devices on iOS 6.1.2 should ensure that the Passcode lock on their devices is disabled. To do this, go to Settings > General > Passcode Lock > Off
- The device should be updated to iOS 6.1.2 via an iTunes update, not OTA update
How to Jailbreak iOS 6.1.2 Untethered Using Evasi0n 1.4
Step 1: Download evasi0n 1.4 [WindowMacLinux], save it on the desktop and run it.
Step 2: Connect your iOS device to the computer using USB cable. Make sure that evasi0n detects the device.
Step 3: After evasi0n detects the device, click on “Jailbreak.” This process will take some time and the device will reboot several times. But don’t panic.
Step 4: After some time, evasi0n will prompt you to unlock the device and tap the Jailbreak icon on the Home screen. Tap the Jailbreak icon only once. Now, the screen will go back and return to the Home screen instantly.
Step 5: Once evasi0n tool is done with its work, you can click on the Exit button. However, don’t touch the device now as it needs to complete a few more steps.
Step 6: The jailbreak process will finish eventually. After that you can unlock the device and you will notice the Cydia logo on the second page of the Home screen. Give Cydia a couple of minutes to initialize. Once the initialization is complete, the device will re-spring again.
Step 7: Open Cydia again, select Hacker. That’s it, your device will now run on jailbroken iOS 6.1.2.

iOS 6.1.2 Download

Download iOS 6.1.2

As usual, the simplest and fastest way to get an iOS update is using Over-The-Air updates. As an OTA delta update, iOS 6.1.2 weighs in around 12.8MB, and with a reasonable broadband connection your device will be updated in just a few minutes. Using Over the Air updates is simple:
  • Open Settings, tap General, then go to “Software Update”
  • Choose “Download and Install”, be sure to have at least 50% of battery life remaining on the iOS device before attempting OTA
Installing this update through OTA brings up a new Terms & Conditions agreement that surely nobody will read, tap “Agree” and be on your way. Using OTA is the simplest way to update iOS, but you can also update devices by connecting them to iTunes and letting it automatically update, or for more advanced users, using the firmware files outlined

iOS 6.1.2 IPSW Direct Download Links

For those who would rather have access to firmware files, the IPSW links below are hosted by Apple. Right-click and choose “Save As”, ensuring the file extension is .ipsw in order for it to work properly. Though updating with IPSW isn’t too complicated, it is not considered a necessary procedure to know how to do, and most users should stick with the easier OTA or iTunes update methods.
IPSW files are quite large and may take a while to download.
Users concerned about maintaining the possibility of jailbreaking their devices should avoid the update for now until a specific update for the Evasion tool is released to handle the newer iOS version.

Untethered Jailbreak 6.1 iDevices

Jailbreak iOS 6.1 On iPhone 5 And Other Devices Untethered Using Evasi0n [How-To Video Tutorial]

The iOS 6 / 6.1 untethered jailbreak has now become a reality, thanks to the hard work from those involved in the newly formed Evaders jailbreak team. The release of the new userland-based Evasi0n jailbreak tool means that users now have an extremely efficient way of making a complicated background process seem extremely simple.
Supported devices:
As mentioned in our previous post, Evasi0n supports all 20+ variants of iOS devices, including the likes of iPhone 5, on iOS 6.0 through iOS 6.1. Apple TV 3 though is not supported.
Supported firmware versions:
iOS 6.0, 6.0.1, 6.0.2, 6.1 are all supported.
Requirements:
  • A computer running at least Windows XP or above, Mac OS X v10.5 or above, Linux
  • An iOS device running iOS 6.x
  • A USB cable for connection your iOS device to your computer.

How-to jailbreak iOS 6.1 (instructions):
If you happen to be one of those who have been waiting extremely patiently for this jailbreak, then you’ve come to the right place. Follow our extremely simple step by step guide below to jailbreak your iOS device on iOS 6 / 6.1 fully untethered.
NOTE:
a. It is highly recommended to make a complete backup of your device using either iTunes or iCloud before proceeding with the steps below.
b. If you happen to have followed our guide for older A4 based devices for tethered jailbreak iOS 6.1, the good news is that you can easily convert your tethered jailbreak into untethered by installing “evasi0n 6.x Untether” from Cydia.
Step 1: Download Evasi0n jailbreak tool tailored for your OS (Windows / Mac / Linux).
Step 2: Download iOS 6.1, and update your device to it using iTunes. Make sure you restore your device to 6.1 using iTunes, and not OTA, to avoid issues with jailbreak. Even though Evasi0n supports all versions of iOS 6, it is recommended to update to the latest 6.1 version before jailbreak so that you can get all the new features of iOS 6.1, with the added bonus of jailbreak.
Step 3: Make sure you don’t have any passcode set on your device. You can disable Passcode lock from: Settings –> General –> Passcode Lock –> Off
Passcode lock
Step 4: Make sure both iTunes and Xcode (if installed) are not running.
Step 5: Start the Evasi0n jailbreak tool on your computer.
Screenshot (27)
Step 6: Connect the relevant iOS device to your PC or Mac via the 30-pin or Lightning cable (depending on the generation of the hardware). Make sure that the connected hardware is recognized by the jailbreak tool.
Step 7: Select the Jailbreak option and relax as the software performs the necessary steps in the background to inject and run through the jailbreaking process.
Screenshot (28)
Step 8: Be patient, do not touch your device or anything on computer during  jailbreaking process.
Step 9: Once done, you will need to unlock your iOS Device, you will then see a “Jailbreak” app on the home screen. Tap on this icon, the screen will go black for a few seconds. After a short while, it will be back on the home screen.

Step 10: Rest of the process is automated, once the Evasi0n software on desktop says “Jailbreak complete!”, after a short while, your device will reboot several times to complete the process. Once this is done, you will have Cydia on the home screen.

Running Cydia on iOS 6.1
iPhone 5 jailbroken copy
Start Cydia from the home screen of the device. Be aware that the first run of Cydia after a jailbreak will require the owner to choose what type of user they are (user, developer or hacker) as well as a run-through of some initial repository setup. Please be patient as this could take some time depending on server load.
As always, remember that the release of any new jailbreak will always see an initial spike in activity at first release. The servers of Cydia and the stock repositories are expected to handle an unusually high load in the first few days, so expect some possible delays and frustrating moments when trying to load and refreshing data.

Jailbreak iOS 6.0.1

How to Jailbreak iOS 6.0.1 with Redsn0w

Jailbreak iOS 6.0.1 with Redsn0w

Jailbreakers will be pleased to discover that iOS 6.0.1 can already be jailbroken by using existing versions of Redsn0w. Currently, only the iPhone 4, iPod touch 4th gen, and iPhone 3GS are supported, and you’ll have to point Redsn0w at the older 6.0 IPSW, but otherwise the process is pretty much the same as any other recent tethered jailbreak. The simple walkthrough below guides you through the process, but the Redsn0w app itself also is fairly explanatory these days.
Before beginning, it’s a good idea to perform a manual backup, this lets you easily undo the jailbreak without losing anything. Use iCloud to backup manually or go the traditional route with iTunes, but don’t skip this step.
  • Update to iOS 6.0.1 if you haven’t done so yet, use OTA, iTunes, or with the 6.0.1 IPSW
  • Get the latest version of redsn0w (Mac OS X) (Windows)
  • Get a local copy of iOS 6 IPSW for your device
  • Launch Redsn0w, click “Extras”, then “Select IPSW”, and choose the iOS 6.0 IPSW file you just downloaded, then go back to the main Redsn0w screen and choose “Jailbreak”
  • Follow on screen instructions to enter DFU mode by holding the Power button for 3 seconds, then while holding Power also hold the Home button for 5 seconds, finally release Power button but hold home button for another 15 seconds, Redsn0w will notify you when DFU has been successful
  • Be sure to check auto boot in Redsn0w to automatically boot the device tethered upon restart, if you missed that step go to the primary redsn0w window and select “Extras” followed by “Just Boot” to boot tethered
When iOS reboots you should find Cydia on the home screen, signifying the jailbreak was successful. If you don’t see it or it doesn’t launch, you probably didn’t boot tethered, which is required. The whole tethering thing is the primary downside to these types of jailbreaks, as you’ll need to connect it to a computer with Redsnow each time the device reboots or runs out of battery.
If you decide to undo the jailbreak, just connect the iPhone or iPod touch to the computer and choose Restore, selecting the most recent backup stored locally or within iTunes.

Jailbreak iOS 6 With Official Cydia Using Redsn0w 0.9.15b1

Jailbreak iOS 6 With Official Cydia On iPhone And iPod touch (A4) Using Redsn0w 0.9.15b1

If u dont know what jailbreaking is or wanted to know its risks & benefits click here
iPhone Dev-Team have just updated Redsn0w, adding full support for final public release of iOS 6 on select devices with official version of Cydia, along with tons of new features which are detailed after the jump.
Redsn0w 0.9.15b1 for both Windows and Mac not only adds support for tethered jailbreak of iOS 6 on A4 based devices, but also for re-restoring and downgrading of select devices from iOS 6 to an older firmware, or in case of re-restoring, from iOS 5.x to iOS 5.x.
Supported devices:
First and foremost, it is important to note this is a tethered jailbreak and is only meant for devices boasting an A4 processor (or below), namely: the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and the 4th-gen iPod touch. Devices with A5 (iPhone 4S, iPad 2), A5X (iPad 3) and A6 (iPhone 5) processors are not supported at this point. Hacktivation + baseband preservation support has also been added for iPhone 4 and 3GS.
iOS 6 pwned clean
This latest version of Redsn0w does not require the user to go through the trouble of downloading and pointing the app to the iOS 6 IPSW for the jailbreak. Instead, the latest Redsn0w recognizes the firmware already installed on your device, downloads the required files and proceeds with the jailbreak. It’s that simple. Cydia, as mentioned above, is now also included as part of this Redsn0w’s release.

Instructions on how-to jailbreak iOS 6:
1. Redsn0w 0.9.15b1 can be downloaded from here (Windows | Mac).
2. Download iOS 6 from here, and update your A4 powered device to it. (check out this post if you want to read on how to update to iOS 6 the right way. Those of you who rely on unlock please read the note below before proceeding with the update.)
3. Start Redsn0w. Run it in Administrator mode if you are on Windows. OS X Mountain Lion users need to start it by Ctrl-Click on the Redsn0w icon and then selecting Open from the new menu.
Redsn0w0915
4. Click on Jailbreak, select Cydia and enter DFU mode when Redsn0w prompts you to with the help of onscreen instructions. Once the device is in DFU mode, Redsn0w will start jailbreaking the device using limera1n exploit. When done, select “Autoboot this device when it connects in DFU mode” option to enter tethered mode for the time being.
After a short while, the device will reboot with familiar Cydia icon on the home screen.
Note for iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS Ultrasn0w unlockers: You will first need to preserve your older baseband to be eligible for unlock. Click on “Extras” option and then select “Custom IPSW” option. Select the required iOS 6 IPSW file for your device, and let Redsn0w make the custom firmware for you. Once done, enter Pwned DFU mode by selecting “Pwned DFU” from Redsn0w’s Extras option, and then restore to this custom firmware.

How to boot your device tethered on iOS 6:
Since this is a tethered iOS 6 jailbreak, you will need to boot your device in a tethered mode every time the device is turned off and back on. Booting in tethered mode is easy, and can be achieved using Redsn0w: click on the "Extras" from the main screen and then simply click on "Just Boot" option. Follow the on-screen instructions. Once done, you will be rebooted back into tethered-jailbreak mode.

New re-restore features have also been introduced by the Dev Team in this version of Redsn0w. It now allows third-gen iPad and iPhone 4S users to RE-restore to any version of iOS 5.x even if Apple is currently not signing the software, provided that your SHSH blobs are saved for iOS 5.x, and the device is currently running iOS 5.x (not iOS 6) that too updated via iTunes, not OTA. iPad 2 users will also be able to downgrade if they have blobs for both 4.x and 5.x saved – even from iOS 6. The A4 based iPhone 4, 3GS and 4th-gen iPod touch users can of course always downgrade to an older firmware for untethered jailbreak provided that they have SHSH blobs saved for the firmware they want to downgrade on (instructions here). Instructions on how to re-restore the above mentioned devices from iOS 5.x-to-iOS 5.x are detailed here.
